MINISTRIES

The Ministry of Christian Education supports all other ministries in the Church.  The ministry oversees, supervises and encourages the teaching ministry of the Church. The ministry of Christian Education promotes Sunday School, Bible Study, and Vacation Bible. The Christian Education Ministry also leads the Church in evangelism through our annual Community Barbecue.

The Deacon’s Ministry assists the Pastor in his spiritual work in declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ, providing support to the Pastor, church members, and the community.  To help the church achieve its spiritual mission, they provide Christian leadership.  Duties of the deacons are to teach Sunday School, New Members classes, support with Baptism, visiting the sick and shut in, and praying for the Pastor, members, and community. 

The Deaconess Ministry assists the Pastor in declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They also work alongside the Deacons in ministering to the needs of our congregation and community. Duties of the Deaconess are to support in Baptism, visiting the sick and shut in, and praying for the Pastor, members, and community.

New Hope has answered the call to serve. During this time of massive demands of needs as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are networking with our congregation, community partners, other faith-based organizations and individuals. Our mission is to feed those who are hungry and provide essential needs during this challenging time.  Our ministry supports families through Food Drives and our Feeding Ministry to the elderly and homeless of our community.

The Financial Ministry assists in monitoring the financial resources of the church.  This includes proper recording and documentation of all monies given to the church.  This ministry works closely with the Pastor and Trustee Board Ministry.

The Health Team Ministry assists in the needs of the congregation in the event of a medical emergencies and/or health-related issues that might occur during worship services and fellowship events. This ministry is a team of medical professionals with years of hands on experience. The Health Team sponsors seminars, workshops, and health presentations to boost good health practices and promote physical as well as mental awareness.

The Media ministry is to assist in the fulfillment of spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ by utilizing the various methods of technology available as an outreach tool. This includes a range of duties of working behind the scenes through amplified sound, audio/cd/video recordings, website, social media, and other forms of internet communications.  Our goal is to enhance the worship experience by extending programs, services, and events to our audience beyond the walls of the church.

The Men’s Ministry empowers, encourages, and equips men to live out the image of God.  The goal of this ministry is to support each man to become a reflection of both the character and person of Jesus Christ. The Men’s Ministry encourages study of the Word of God and building relationships which provide accountability and opportunities for service at home, church, and in the community.

The Mission Ministry supervises and coordinates programs of the church’s outreach ministries and missions, locally, nationally, and internationally. It administers the Church Mission Fund. The Mission Ministry assists the Pastor in arranging special efforts to increase missionary interest and spiritual mission of the church. 

The Pastor Support Ministry assist the Pastor with the areas of prayer, encouragement, finances and other activities and roles considered essential. A crucial responsibility is to pray for the needs of the pastor and his family as well as showing love and gratitude to the pastoral family on behalf of the members of the congregation. These members also coordinate events specific to the Pastor’s anniversary for the pastoral family.

The Praise team seeks to worship God and give praise through the art of dance.  Their desire is to use their temples as a living sacrifice to prepare the congregation in exalting the LORD God through creative expressions of praise in movement.  The objective is to magnify the Name of the Lord through dance.  This ministry attracts and encourages members of all ages.

The Transportation Ministry provides transportation to members and guests for the purposes of attending Worship, Bible Study and other church activities. To take advantage of this service, please contact the church office at 651-772-4080 and select option #3.

The NHBC Usher Ministry continues to serve faithfully as the doorkeepers for Christ. We are the first faces you will see when entering the sanctuary, and we help by helping you to have a most enjoyable experience. We continue to do the will of our Heavenly Father, by being obedient in serving our NHBC family, and Pastor Patterson. We all enjoy greeting you, and we pray God will continue to give us the ability to carry out such a faithful and honorary service for Pastor Patterson, and our NHBC Family.  We hold true to this scripture:  Psalm 84:10: “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.”

The Women’s Ministry exists for the purpose of growing all women in their walk with the LORD and developing a caring community of young, middle age and mature women devoted to Christ. Through fellowshipping with one another in studying Scripture and participating in various activities and events help deepen the relationships among all women and God. We seek to mirror our Savior’s grace, love, and compassion by meeting the needs of every woman in all seasons of life.

This ministry educates and mentors children and youth on how to utilize their gifts and talents to serve in the Church.
